Broadband connections in India grows by 69% at 4.15 million

According to figures released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, the number of broadband connections in the country has grown by 69 per cent at 4.15 million in May 2008, as compared to 2.46 million recorded a year ago. TRAI defines broadband as internet speed equal or greater than 256 Kbps download.



But don't you think we are still doing pathetic on this count? While the industry considers basic computing facilities as infrastructure, the tradional view sees it as luxury.
