Komli Media appoints Andrew James Reid as MD of ViziSense Australia

Mumbai-based digital media network Komli Media has appointed Andrew James Reid as managing director of ViziSense Australia. Prior to joining Komli, Reid was managing director at Peer Group Media. Before that Reid worked as MD of Nielsen//NetRatings Australia. Launched in 2008, ViziSense is a leading online audience measurement and analytics platform in India.

According to Komli Media, the appointment of Andrew James Reid is a part of the company’s plans to expand its services across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The company plans to introduce ViziSense in Australia by the end of this quarter. Komli Media recently raised $6 million additional funding from its existing investors and acquired Australia’s website representation firm, PostClick.

Amar Goel, founder and CEO, Komli Media, has said, “Andrew’s solid experience in the field of research and his passion for building a credible audience measurement business makes him a fitting candidate to lead ViziSense’s efforts in Australia. He will be based out of Sydney and will significantly contribute to our goal to become the leading audience and ad measurement platform across Asia-Pacific.”

ViziSense claims to have a panel of more than 90,000 users in India. According to the company, its AccuTag website analytics code is running on around 300 online properties. Recently, ViziSense announced changes in its product and said the service has gone subscription-based. This means users would now need to register and login to the ViziSense site to access the stats. Besides, the platform has also introduced four pricing plans for its subscription, namely basic, plus, pro and advantage.

The basic plan, which is free, provides snapshot of key demographic, traffic and geographic statistics for a website and also has the AccuTag based analytics tool for publishers. The other three plans are paid and ViziSense will charge between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 10 lakh a year depending on the nature and number of subscriptions opted by a single company or organisation.

“ViziSense wants to position itself as the prime audience measurement platform in Asia-Pacific. The new site aims to provide a lot of relevant data for advertisers, media planners and publishers. We are also planning to measure the rich media campaigns through our AdView product and thus provide and promote the product spends done by marketers on this format also,” Amit Bhartiya, business head, ViziSense, has told AlooTechie.

Speaking about the need for making the ViziSense website login based, Amit Bhartiya said, “We wanted to acquire some business intelligence regarding who all are using the ViziSense product more and thus evaluate who is our focus group and add features accordingly. Hence, we have asked people to login preferably with their official email ids. However, as of now, we are not being rigid on this and are also allowing people to login with their general email ids.”

The firm is going to perform even better now onwards in the light of appointment of Andrew James at the help of the affairs. The growth displayed by Komli is quite impressive and by hiring quality professionals like James, things are looking up for the agency.
