A note from AlooTechie team on the site's revamp

18 March, 2008
As we guess or hope you would have already noticed, we have changed a bit. Oh all right, a lot! This is basically just a small note from us on why this change had to come about. As much as we loved being a ‘blog’ and all and dishing it out on the online space five times a day, that’s not been good enough for us. And we hope you agree with us there.

There is so much action on the digital space and it was time we covered it all. Or as much as we can. Hence, the new avatar. We now bring you industry perspectives, interviews with exciting startups and the learned of the space along with the trusty news, the job board and the company directory.

As the online industry’s news monitor, it was about time we offered you a lot more to read, chew on and soak in about the digital space in India and abroad. The two new, Mobile and Gaming sections have been introduced for exactly this reason. You know what, we basically wanted to grow up and be a website with lots of channels and all. Yes, yes we did, we did! But we can also promise you that we remain the same people with the same passion for binging you news and now much more. So you won’t see any highbrow nonsense around here. No sir, nothing doing. The writing is simple, the features interesting (or so we hope!) and the style as Aloo as it has always been.

We sincerely hope you like the new Aloo and will continue to enjoy it more than ever! Oh yes, wish us luck please. We certainly need it! And also please use the comment section to send us your feedback on the new Aloo.

Rock on,
The Aloo team

The new site looks awesome. I was really sick of your old blog style template, this looks more organized, cool...and refreshing...

As you say "Rock On"!

Cheers,
Praveen

Rajesh,

The earlier way of showcasing comments was better, I guess. Where are the old stories btw?

Keep it up. Much needed. Also, work a bit more on font face, colors, etc so that they look more appealing and readable. Others, please correct me if I am wrong. :)
