Hypo, whats wrong with you? I am not supporting anyone here, I am just saying what I am given to understand in my Internet career spanning over 10yrs.

Dude, Indiatimes sucks, I do not disagree, if you read carefully, I am saying that those are the best guys to take a shot at anyone big if they correct a few things and take a few hard calls.

The reality is they are best suited to take the Indian Internet Market to bigger heights but does that mean they will make it, I dont know. I am only talking about the big assets they own.

Further, dude - I have always been a no mud sledging supporter on Aloo, maybe you should read it and I love LD. Sharma, he rocks, he is the smartest dude around making the moolah, so what counts is that!

So I do not know why you are targetting me?

LOL!

Just because some guys haven't heard his name, you make a hue and cry? Alootechie is trying to be fair in getting news out to people and grandpas like some of you with your misplaced sense of righteousness is playing censor. Similar stuff with people like Uday Zokarkar and LD Sharma... You guys probably haven't even met them or have no idea what theyr're doing.

Guys who're younger than you have probably reached VP level and that is supposed to cause a lot of heartburn to those of you who didn't make it... Stop trying to play God and wanting to read news which only you consider news.

Couldn't resist Not commenting on Indiatimes' strategy as a company... some snippets.

1. In existence over 10 years.
2. Relaunched their mail almost 5-6 times in this period.
3. Inspite of being the first let every newcomer viz., Yahoo, Rediff, Gmail, heck even Zapakmail and AOL are ahead.
4. Has over 1500 employees ( Not sure how many anymore)
5. STILL ISN'T PROFITABLE......

Do I need to say more? Mr. "Reporter Larger than Life?"

But if you ask any VC, the first thing they would say is Audience, monetisation comes later, though sounds stupid thats the reality!

So what if Indiatimes dint get anywhere, they still are the best positioned to correct things and get better, just that they need to take a few hard calls else it has all the ingredients to make it a true global brand.

Anyway, why am I commenting? LOL, sorry lage raho!

I see a lot of sour grapes in the comments. How do you know how young he is or what he deserves? Plus accomplished young guys is what the Indian internet needs. The founder of Facebook is 24. So, stop your inane ageism.

Need to purge the community of the old guys who "founded" the Indian internet with their misplaced print industry decision making. Thats what has held us back.

Congrats Amit - A top guy who deserves the best!

Dude, the stuff that held the Indian Internet industry back is not those oldies but the NCR mafia of the Internet Industry ( Except the InfoEdge/Monster guys). This mafia have the track record of burning millions of dollars of poor investors/VCs/PE firms. Majority of the members in this mafia are alumnis of one specific internet company, which is yet to make profit after 10+ years of existance.

These are the jokers who valued traffic more than moolah.

These young guys are switching too fast. Though have been raised to a position of national/ director level, but they lack the sincerity and commitment
Will the online companies do something to beat this trend????

Definitely this news and person is not worth it!!!!
