BJP launches website for its prime ministerial candidate L K Advani

10 November, 2008
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched LKAdvani.in , a website for its prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani. The website, available in both English and Hindi, is a part of BJP’s endeavour to reach out to the large and growing section of technology-savvy, first-time voters.

According to Prodyut Bora, convenor of BJP’s National IT Cell, LKAdvani.in has about 150 videos, over 300 photographs and more than 700 pages of textual content. The portal allows users to register to receive email and SMS alerts of L K Advani’s events. Volunteers desiring to work on the campaign can also submit their applications through the portal.

Noting that technology has changed the way election campaigns are conducted in India, L K Advani has said, after television, internet has emerged as a very useful platform for political communication. “Young people, especially, are using the internet not only to receive information but also to express themselves. We have to listen to their views and voices.”

“Given India’s predominantly youthful demographic profile, it is estimated that there would be 100 million new voters in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. We want to demonstrate to them that our party and our alliance are in tune with their aspirations and expectations,” Advani has added.

Very well made site, however is a little slow. It will have an impact on people trying to access the content from remote areas.

I love BJP and the jobs have been carried out during their governace but I still feel they are lacking to point out present governance i.e showing week opposition. Weekness of present governing party...
#At present they are not considering the rates of fuel which is giving a very bad impact to the normal man means people should start the morcha against them who are delaying intentially. They have done it earlier too pin point this weekness to the normal man because it was never did by you during your rule.
# At present people are afraid where as they are business man or service men due to the liquidity, why it is just arrived before the election. What they want to prove? It should come in the normal man mind that they have shown the fake figures of growth or do not know what is going to happen.
# No development of the infrastructure in another ruling government whereas it is road or electricity or other basic resources of the normal man. example UP & others whereas Gujrat & Rajasthan showed remarkable achievement.
# Fake cases are being formed to those who link with Sanghs or other Hidu religions just to dilute the pressure of Terrorism which points one community.
#.Drama were given to sack the employee related with aviation (Air Flights) just to get the price relaxation of fuel/ Benefit for businessman nor the common man who use to travel a lot.
