BrandAdda.com launched to enable brands interact with consumers

Bangalore-based SmartCrowds Software has launched BrandAdda.com , an online platform that allows users to create a brand specific community where the brand and its consumers could interact with each other.

“Most of the marketing initiatives taken by a brand forget to involve the consumer in it. As a result, the consumer ends up voicing their reviews in most of the consumer review websites. Through BrandAdda, consumers can review and discuss about a product and brands can use those consumer reviews to bring in innovations to the product,” Tej Arora, founder, SmartCrowds Software, has told AlooTechie.

According to Tej Arora, a community on a brand can be opened by anybody regardless of him or her being a brand owner or not. However, to avoid the risk of creating numerous communities for a single brand the company has developed a tool for checking potential duplicates. “If anyone tries to create a community on a brand that already carries a community, our tool checks for potential duplicates and restricts any alterations,” Arora said.

BrandAdda.com also plans to introduce a brand blog wherein brand owners can write about their new initiatives and share their experiences with the consumers. Besides, the platform might also play host to the test version of an ad campaign that a brand wants to run in the future. “That will help the brand to assess the consumer feedback about the campaign,” Arora informed.

“In the long run, we plan to make this platform a consumer research tool which can be used by brand owners before introducing any product,” Tej Arora said. According to Arora, BrandAdda.com plans to earn its revenues from brand owners who will be required to subscribe to use its services. “As we start pulling more traffic on our website, we plan to introduce more services that can be accessed by brand owners through paid subscription,” Arora added.

Super cool!
A worthy concept - brands will follow but user traction is the biggest challenge, I am sure Tej has planned for it.

Congrats Guys!

UI is pretty impressive. Driving traffic and making users generate content may require significant marketing of brandadda.com brand on other sites! The good part of this initiative is that though its UGC based but still its business model is not entirely plain display/google ads.

Good Luck!
