Contests2win launches digital creative agency C2W Digital, headed by Gaurav Sharma

Contests2win.com has launched a digital agency named C2W Digital to provide various digital services including viral solutions, micro-sites, e-training tools, mobile and Facebook apps and sales linked promos to its clients. C2W Digital will be headed by Gaurav Sharma. Currently, C2W Digital has around 30 people employed across its offices in Mumbai and Delhi. The company is also planning to expand its presence in Bangalore.

“In the course of our 12 long years of working with the top 1000 brands in India and delivering over 5000 campaigns for them, many of our clients told us that Contests2Win is more recognised as an advergaming and brand promotion company rather than a digital solution provider. So, we decided to demarcate the resources and launch a new entity altogether where the core focus will be given on developing creative solutions for our various clients,” Alok Kejriwal, founder, Contests2win, has told AlooTechie.

“Clients thought that Contests2Win only provides advergaming and contest based solutions to brands; whereas, over the last two years, we have gained an expertise in providing viral, e-learning and social media solutions to clients. Thus, C2W Digital was set up to have an identity of a digital creative solutions provider,” Gaurav Sharma, business head, C2W digital, has added.

Answering a query on how C2W Digital would differ from the group’s interactive agency Media2Win, Alok Kejriwal said that Media2Win has its specialities in providing a complete digital solution to brands, whereas C2W Digital will focus solely on providing creative solutions. “For example, Media2Win also specialises in providing the media buying solutions to our clients, but that will not be a focus area for C2W Digital,” Kejriwal explained.

I don't know Alok personally but I know an entrepreneur in the virtual world and who is always a role model for up coming net entrepreneurs, Alok Kajrival is a person who founded Contest2Win in 1998 and then two more companies, Mobile2win and Games2win and shown his ability to the world.

I would surely like to advise the persons who are spitting on others to look into themselves and know where they stand.

He had created a company which was taken over by Walt Disney and that is not a children's play at all.

It is true that there are number of companies in the same segment in which C2W Digital is entering, but they still can create impact and differentiations with the team of talent people.

I wish best luck to Alok and team.

These days its become very fashionable for "knowledgeable" Indian bloggers to post comments vilifying Indias Dot Com entrepreneurs. Be it Ajit Balakrishnan or Alok Kejriwal, even Sanjiv Bikchandani is not spared. So what if you've build India's best portal by beating the pants of MSN and yahoo or built one of the fastest growing gaming companies in the planet (Comscore ranks games2win as the 20th biggest gaming co in the planet) and exited 2 companies or have IPOed your company which generates cash profits you are still a "failure" according to these keyboard punching monkeys who have done NOTHING in their lives. These are exactly the same guys who vilify Sachin Tendulkar for "not finishing the match".
To quote Don Dodge "those who say it cannot be done should'nt interrupt those doing it"

It is said that one can continue to fool others but one cannot do it forever. There are many white elephant dot coms in our country, all fueled by hype, cooked-up reports and false statements. It is high time the VCs wake up and make a reality check.
Indeed, there are lots of shady firms that are still flourishing in our Industry. However, the media can perhaps help clean up the system by first checking out facts before giving publicity.

Contests2win has always been a very great set of sales & creative talent with the worst possible founder who never let anyone or the company grow. Look at this article-gaurav sharma is to head C2W digital, but alok kejriwal's quotes are all over the article! 12 years in business and the founder cant get over his i-own-it-all attitude!

Alok - your own websites need creative solutions. First concentrate on that and then consult externally. You have created mediocre products for yourself which are highly non-monetizable and how you expect to deliver ROIs to clients. You are in business for 12 years and your revenues for your own portals are pathetically low. You cant even get 250,000 indian users on your sites like c2w and g2w. You think creating few succesful apps on orkut makes you creative genius - whats the point if you cant even make US$50000 revenue a month for yourself. You provide highly inflated numbers in the market which infact is known to all. You quote some unreliable sources for your data and that too smartly only the data which is in your favor. You never tell anyone that total time spent on your site per user is less than a minute, average PVs per user are less than 2 - so zero stickiness for your own products.
