Dinamalar appoints S Balasubramanian as Head of Marketing, New Media

Tamil daily newspaper Dinamalar has appointed S Balasubramanian as head of marketing, new media. Prior to joining Dinamalar, Balasubramanian was senior vice president, ad sales at Galatta.com. Dinamalar.com, the online version of the Tamil daily, claims to attract around 8 million visitors and record more than 35 million page views a month.
“We (Dinamalar.com) have some good numbers, and those numbers are not realistically shown to the advertisers or even to the public,” Balasubramanian has said. “Therefore, my responsibility here would be creating some kind of foundation, wherein things are in place and our numbers are well exhibited so that we would be able to generate revenue to our potential.” [Source: exchange4media]
