Google launches voice search for iPhone users
18 November, 2008
Google has added voice search to Google Mobile App for the iPhone. The new feature, currently available only in US English and for the iPhone, allows users to do a Google web search using their voice.
To use the service, an iPhone user would need to hold the phone to his ear, wait for the beep, and say what he is looking for. After the user speaks his query, Google Mobile App will return search results formatted for the iPhone, according to Google .

"
One can’t keep on doing the same stuff over and over again across all kinds of brands. Every brand has a unique feature and this needs to be attributed through innovative marketing initiatives. Unless the people working in this medium can innovate, spends will not grow on internet. "
Trust Google to come out with one killer app after another.
This is basically an update on their earlier Google app for the iPhone.
I tried to use the voice functionality, but it was a 50-50 for me, even after I tried to put on an "north american" accent as recommended by Google.
Still, the concept takes "search" leaps ahead.
