In-text ad platform Hover.in gets seed funding from Media2win

19 January, 2009
Pune-based Hover Technologies has received seed funding from interactive agency Media2Win. Hover plans to use the fund for the development of its in-text content and ad delivery platform Hover.in. As a part of the funding, Krishna Kumar, CEO of Media2win, has joined the Hover board. Hover is also in talks with leading VCs to raise Series A funding.

According to Hover.in, its ad delivery platform allows online publishers to create and customize the content appearing within the Hover bubble (Hoverlet). The biggest advantage that Hover offers is that publishers can also control what appears where, unlike existing in-text advertising providers who do not offer any control, the company has said.

Hover.in is currently in Beta and is opened for select few publishers in India. In the next quarter Hover plans to partner with large Indian portals that have shown interest in the Hover.in platform. Hover is founded by Arun Prabhudesai and Bhasker Kode and has a team of eight people including the founders.

funding these days goes to people who cant even spell "publishers" correctly! (see slide 6 - title). plus - they dont even have a favicon. further, the concept is not a money spinner. very limited with extremely low CTRs or value.
