Indigo Consulting wins 1 Gold, 2 Silver at W3 Awards 2009

02 November, 2009
Indigo Consulting has won three awards at the recently concluded W3 Awards 2009. According to the digital marketing agency, its work on the Kolkata Knight Riders website won a Gold award; while its work for Asian Paints ColourNext2009 and Chlorophyll won Silver awards. The W3 Awards are judged by International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an invitation‐only body consisting of top professionals from media, interactive, advertising and marketing firms.

In its fourth year, the W3 Awards received nearly 3,000 entries from ad agencies, public relations firms, interactive agencies, in‐house creative professionals, web designers, graphic designers and web enthusiasts. Less than 10 per cent of all entries were selected as Gold Winners. The entries for websites were judged on factors such as creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design, and ease of use.

Vikas Tandon, managing director, Indigo Consulting, has said, “Creating and delivering effective websites requires a combination of strategy, creative, user understanding, technology and marketing skills. Such recognition gives us the confidence to continue improving and providing world-class capabilities to our clients.”

Indigo Consulting claims to be the only digital marketing agency from India to have won an award in the Gold category at W3 Awards 2009, placing the agency alongside global giants like Razorfish, Ogilvy, Tribal DDB and Visual Jazz. According to Indigo Consulting, the agency had submitted three websites for the competition and all of them won an award.

Can I know on what basis did they received the award? Is it the design or coding?

Hey, great stuff. I always thought that the KKR website was the most interesting of all the other IPL teams. Good to know it's been recognised by an international jury!
