Jet Airways ties up with Shoogloo Network to launch its affiliate programme

16 January, 2009
Jet Airways has tied up with Shoogloo Network, which is powered by OMG, to launch its affiliate programme that allows online publishers to earn additional revenues by generating sales leads for the airlines.

According to Jet Airways, the affiliate partners would be able to integrate its booking engine on their site and allow visitors to book Jet Airways tickets online. The programme will help partners earn a commission on every successful transaction referred to the airline's website.

“The affiliate programme gives us a great opportunity to further increase our online presence and generate additional sales through this channel,” Belson Coutinho, general manager, ecommerce and innovations, Jet Airways, has said.

“The concept of affiliate marketing is fairly new to the Indian aviation industry. However, it has become a tried and tested practice in European and North American markets. Jet Airways, as one of the early adopters of this model in India, could be setting the stage for others to follow suit,” Coutinho has added.

“We are delighted at the prospect of working with a blue-chip brand such as Jet Airways,” LD Sharma, managing director, Shoogloo, has said. “Our goal is to become the top player in the affiliate online marketing space and the Jet Airways contract is the first step towards that goal.”

Richard Syme, chief executive officer, OMG, has said, “We are very pleased indeed with the progress made by Shoogloo Network. Jet Airlines is a significant win and a brand that we would expect to perform well via affiliate marketing.”

Shoogloo or DGM, that is not important for Affiliates that with whom Jet Airways is associated with but the moral of the story is that it is a good news for Indian Affiliate Marketing Industry.

The world is passing through the stage of economical meltdown and we can read about a giant is falling per month.

The entry of Jet Airways into the Affiliate Marketing industry is a news which will surely motivate all the affiliates who are targeting Indian Travel segment.

Jet Airways also had made a good decision by choosing Affiliate Marketing as their future strategy to increase online business.

This is an opportunity for all affiliates who are targeting to Indian and NRIs in the travel segment and Shoogloo is a reputed company in the Indian Affiliate Marketing industry and that is a good news for all the affiliates working with Shoogloo.
