Malayala Manorama launches education portal ManoramaHorizon.com

ManoramaOnline, the online division of Kerala-based Malayala Manorama Group, has launched ManoramaHorizon.com, an education portal that will allow educational institutes to enlist their names on the website and provide details about the courses they offer.

According to C Mathew, deputy general manager, marketing, Malayala Manorama, about 4,700 colleges from all over India are already on ManoramaHorizon.com. “We are targeting to rope in 20,000 colleges in the next 12 months,” Mathew has said.

Apart from listing of colleges, ManoramaHorizon.com will also offer education related news and career guidance articles. Initially, the news content will be offered in Malayalam and later it will also be made available in English. [Source: Afaqs]

This is a smart initiative from Manorama. Taking ahead there expertise in the print media on to the internet medium. education is the most demanding sector and with the admission process moving online & geographical limitations getting thinner, this initiative of Manorama seems to strike the right chord.
