Maya Hari quits MSN India as Head of Consumer Marketing; launches Stylkist.com

08 September, 2008
Maya Hari has left MSN India where she was head of consumer marketing. Hari has now launched a lifestyle e-commerce site Stylkist.com which markets stylish decor and gifts online. Prior to joining MSN India, Hari was senior marketing manager at Google India.

“While working for MSN India was a pleasure and a great challenge, I have always been passionate about launching an entrepreneurial venture and Stylkist is quite a dream come true in that sense,” Maya Hari, co-founder and CEO, Stylkist.com, has said.

“India is a great consumer market today evolving at a rapid pace. We believe that the timing is right to start to lay foundations of a lifestyle oriented business and also an e-commerce business. Stylkist is launched as an e-tail and retail company dedicated to market lifestyle accessories which are 'stylish by design',” Hari has said.

“Our primary target audience are internet users from metros and mini-metros in the SEC A category in the 23-35 age group. From an interest group perspective, our target group will likely have interest in design, fashion, lifestyle, travel and style,” Maya Hari has said.

According to Maya Hari, Stylkist is currently generating revenues from sales of products through its e-commerce channel Stylkist.com and its offline shop-in-shop partnerships within select boutiques in India. “In the near future, we plan to offer specialized high-end gifting services as part of Stylkist's offerings,” Hari has added.
