Morpheus Venture Partners selects 7 startups for mentoring

12 September, 2008
Morpheus Venture Partners , founded by Sameer Guglani and Nandini Hirianniah, has selected seven startups for its Second Batch of 2008. MVP team will now work closely with these startups for the next 4-6 months on areas like product development and launch, customer traction, B2b deals, team building and revenue models.

The seven startups that are a part of MVP - Batch 2 - 2008 are CallGraph (VOIP), Crederity (identity verification), DeskAway (SaaS), Dhanax (peer-to-peer lending), Fachak (social content sharing), LifeMojo (Health 2.0) and SutraHR (startup hiring).

“The main goal for the startup founders and MVP is to build something impressive enough to raise the next round of capital. Once the team feels that point is reached, we will introduce the startups to early stage investors—and in some cases even acquirers,” MVP has said.

Morpheus Venture Partners currently has 11 companies as part of its portfolio. From the first batch, there are four portfolio companies -- Instablogs , CommonFloor , Moblf and FoodAtHome . Out of these four, two startups -- Instablogs and CommonFloor -- have raised Series-A funding.
