MyDala.com launches its daily deal service in Bengaluru

12 February, 2010
MyDala.com, which features a daily deal on ‘best’ stuff to do, see, eat and buy, has launched its services in Bengaluru. MyDala has so far been offering its services only in Delhi and Mumbai. The company also intends to cover other major cities across India. Launched in November 2009, MyDala.com claims to have already sold about 1500 deal vouchers in Delhi and Mumbai, helping people save over Rs 10 lakh off the retail price.

“Bengaluru being the IT capital of India was special for our online venture and we wanted to time our launch in the city befittingly. That’s why we are launching just before the Valentine’s Day on February 14,” Anisha Singh, founder and CEO, MyDala.com, has said. “What’s more, to make our launch in Bengaluru more memorable, we are also offering tickets to the much-awaited movie, ‘My Name is Khan’ at highly discounted prices as part of our marketing promotions.”

this is a good move by mydala.com. The concept is fairly acceptable and getting traffic on the site wont be a challenge. the main challenge is having good deals on mydala.com. At present there are very few deals on mydala.com which is not very attractive for the visitors. to get them back on the site, mydala.com will require lot more deals.

I guess, that's just the beginning of several such incentives and initiatives from start-ups. The internet revolution has kept on giving rise to entrepreneurial spirit and there seems to be no stopping the phenomenon.
