NDTV Convergence partners with CarWale to launch NDTVAuto.com

08 January, 2009
NDTV Convergence, in association with CarWale.com, has launched an auto portal NDTVAuto.com to offer its users auto-related information and services. NDTVAuto.com aims to help its users save time and money when buying or selling cars, securing loan financing and insurance, or finding out market value of used cars.

Sanjay Trehan, CEO, NDTV Convergence, has said, “With the launch of NDTVAuto.com we continue to complement our core news offerings with value services sought by our loyal users. Also, later through SMS and WAP services, we would be able to offer such related information 24x7 across platforms.”

Tufail Khan, vice president, marketing, CarWale.com, has added, “This association helps our popular interactive tools reach a wider net savvy audience. We are confident that NDTV users will find the new car road tests, used car valuation tool, community reviews, blogs and articles extremely useful.”

The US Auto company's concept of "badging" seems to have been put to good use. NDTV Auto is nothing by carwale.com with NDTV's branding. The only difference offered to the "wider netsavvy audience" is the "NDTV auto" + carwale.com logo...

Of course, carwale am sure would get ad time on NDTV. Between these two scratching each other's back, there's nothing that the user actually gets. Except a load of bull.
