NDTV Convergence ties-up with July Systems to launch Mi SMS in India

NDTV Convergence, the new media arm of NDTV Group, has partnered with US-based mobile technology company July Systems to launch Mi SMS in India. The new service, which offers a sachet version of the mobile internet, will enable GPRS activated mobile phone users to access live multimedia content on mobile internet via SMS.
According to July Systems, Mi SMS requires mobile internet service to be activated on a mobile phone. Consumers can access the Mi SMS service by sending MiNEWS, MiCRI or MiSTO to the NDTV short code 56388. They will receive a link that connects to the mobile internet for detailed multimedia content.

Mi SMS will help mobile users to get a taste of accessing internet on the go with a technology that they are most comfortable with - SMS.”
