Pinstorm wins ‘Red Herring Global Top 100’ award

18 January, 2010
Mumbai-based digital brand management firm Pinstorm has won ‘2009 Red Herring Global Top 100’ award. Prior winners at the Red Herring awards have included Google, Yahoo, Skype and YouTube. The award is given by US-based magazine Red Herring to innovative technology-driven and commercially successful firms around the world and picked through its editorial process.

While Pinstorm had won Red Herring awards before, they were at the Asia regional level. “It’s our fourth Red Herring -- but the biggest one -- the Global 100 award. I hope we can make as much an impact as them in the years ahead,” Mahesh Murthy, founder, Pinstorm, has said.

Mahesh Murthy has further said, “We are among the few brand management firms worldwide that have invested deeply in building technology for marketing. We started with building tools to do better SEM, and have over the years, built out technologies that revolutionise SEM, SEO, Display Advertising and now have a complete suite of tools to do industrial strength Social Media Management.”

Pinstorm was founded in 2004 – among the first pay-for-performance digital marketing firms worldwide. The company has its offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Switzerland and US, besides Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore in India, Pinstorm offers digital brand management services to brands like Nestle, HSBC, ICICI, NIIT, Standard Chartered, Yahoo, Jet Airways and CNN.

Agree with u Shreedhar... its terrible.. Pstorm is like a standard sem "cost per lead" company... thousands of companies in bangalore/hyderabad/chennai/mumbai/delhi/gurgaon etc do it
Thats why i said the idiom 'red herring' is apt. Check out the definition of the words "Red Herring":
A red herring is an idiom referring to a device which intends to divert the audience from the truth or an item of significance
