Prasanth Mohanachandran quits Neo@Ogilvy as Executive Director, Digital Services

05 February, 2010
Prasanth Mohanachandran, executive director, digital services, Neo@Ogilvy and OgilvyOne, is expected to soon put in his papers at the company. Though, Mohanachandran’s next move is still not known he is more likely to remain in the digital media industry.

Kaizad Pardiwala, president, OgilvyOne, is also understood to have decided to call it quits. However, Pardiwala is likely to accept another role in the Ogilvy and Mather group itself.

According to sources, Chris Riley, regional director, OgilvyOne South Asia, and Susana Tsui, president, Asia Pacific at Neo@Ogilvy, have been called in as replacements for Kaizad Pardiwala and Prasanth Mohanachandran.

Mohanachandran has about 17 years of experience. Prior to joining Ogilvy, he was co-founder and CTO of eDeltaC Communications, an online marketing agency, which merged into Ogilvy Interactive in January 2002. [via Afaqs]

instead of removing comments, it would make more sense to look into the issue being raised.

At least, that's what a news source should do, right?

you have a point. but don't you think simply name-calling does not help anyone.
Instead, people should narrate the exact 'incident' to make their point, at least that's what i think.
and so i don't object if personal comments have been deleted here.

This is indeed a shocking news and a huge set back to the Ogilvy digital team. Losing a mentor like Prasanth, who truly understands technology and the medium better than anyone else I know. Only hope that the person who takes on from here, can fill in his large shoes.
Wish you all the very best Pras!

This is a major loss to Ogilvy. All the best where you are going.

Are they able to afford these expats in Digital Advertising? With such low spend and revenues and margins and with big agencies hardly having any specialised digital wing, I wonder how they are doing it? Are they considering this an investment ? And if yes is it paying coz if these expats are supposed to get business - where is the team and budget to do the work or hire :)
