Remindo.com lets users create web-based customizable intranet for their company

Mumbai-based startup Remindo.com has launched a web-based, customizable intranet service that allows users to create an intranet for their company and post status updates, hold discussions, share links and ask and answer questions.
The service allows users to upload their own company logos to brand their intranet. The users can also claim a secure, customized URL for their company intranet. Security on these intranets is ensured by VeriSign SSL certification and each intranet gets a secure https web address.
When other co-workers sign up on Remindo.com, they are automatically added to the same company's intranet. These users can then invite external people like clients, partners or freelancers into their intranet for streamlined collaboration.
Each intranet gets 3 GB of free storage space and also project collaboration tools like instant messenger, discussion threads, shared team calendars, milestones and task lists. Files of up to 200 MB each can be uploaded or attached to discussion threads.
All events appear in a live activity feed that keeps users updated on what is happening in their company. While anyone can sign up and start an intranet for their company, Remindo only accepts valid company email addresses.
“Maintaining privacy is of paramount importance to any business so this permission based approach not only filters out unwanted people but also make intranets on Remindo, spam and malware free,” Rehan Yar Khan, founder and CEO, Remindo, has said.
“Most such software fail to click with users because the users have to first learn something new, but Remindo puts people in an environment they are already familiar with and puts them immediately at ease,” Prateek Dubey, marketing manager, Remindo, has added.
Remindo is founded by Rehan Yar Khan, founder and CEO of Flora2000.com, and co-founded by Ashok Kurien, founder of Ambiance Advertising, Hanmer Partners Communications and Zee TV. Ashok Kurien currently serves as chairman at Publicis India and director at Zee TV.
