TechGoss offers to pay Rs 10,000 for pictures, write-up of Mark Zuckerberg’s stay in India

11 May, 2008
TechCrunch recently (5th May 2008) published an email sent by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to his team. In the email Zuckerberg wrote, “Hey Everyone, I’m writing from India to share with you the good news that Elliot Schrage (former vice president of global communications and public affairs at Google) will be joining our management team as VP Communications and Public Policy... Elliot will be starting on May 14, although you may see him around the office before then.”

Soon bloggers started speculating the purpose of Mark Zuckerberg’s India visit. StartupDunia wondered, “Is Facebook India launching sometime soon...After all, MySpace India officially launched a few weeks back.” And this is in spite of the fact that CNN Money thought Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was “on a long around-the-world vacation trip, and is currently in India.”

Probably to put the rumour mills at rest, Australia-based Indian technology gossip site TechGoss is now offering Rs 5,000 to anyone sending the first, exclusive photos of Mark Zuckerberg in India. Another Rs 5,000 is being offered for a detailed story on Zuckerberg’s stay in India. To make the bet even more attractive, TechGoss even promises to maintain the sender’s anonymity. Let’s see if the bet works! [via WebYantra]
