ViziSense claims to track web surfing behaviours of 55,000 panellists

05 October, 2009
Komli Media, which launched its online audience measurement and analytics platform ViziSense in December 2008 with a panel of over 10,000 users, now claims that the ViziSense audience panel has grown to track web surfing behaviours of 55,000 panellists. According to Komli, the additional data from this extended footprint of panellists will yield ViziSense traffic statistics and demographic data more accurate and reliable than before.

Currently out of beta, ViziSense also claims to have monitored the visiting behaviour of panellists across more than five lakh internet domains in August 2009 alone. The company has further said that its tags have been embedded in over 200 leading websites including BigAdda.com, Quikr.com and ZeeNews.com, reaching out to over 55 lakh internet users per month.

“Working closely to address the needs of India’s top 25 media planning agencies, scores of advertisers and large and long tail publishers, ViziSense has quickly emerged as a credible source of accurate information around India’s internet audience,” Amit Bhartiya, business head, ViziSense, has said.

Atul Hegde, CEO, Ignitee Digital Solutions, has said, “ViziSense is a great way to improve the efficiency of online media planning. Its ability to report accurate site traffic statistics and demographics has definitely helped to benchmark and provide quantifiable intelligence needed to validate and improve online marketing investments.”

Vizisense claims to include cybercafe users in their panellists while comscore doesn't track cybercafe users. It is quite interesting to still see that the numbers represented by vizisense are predominantly less than the comscore values. The measurement algorithm of Vizisense definitely requires a relook.

However, if this problem can be fixed by Vizisense and the panellists count can be further increased, Vizisense will definitely grow to become a more accepted online audience measurement platform.
