Yahoo relaunches IndexTools as Yahoo Web Analytics
10 October, 2008
Yahoo has relaunched IndexTools, a web analytics package it bought in May 2008, as Yahoo Web Analytics . According to Yahoo, the service allows online publishers to get real-time reports and graphs that help them slice and dice metrics like sales, page views, and sources of traffic and ultimately identify ways to ramp up their visitor satisfaction.
Jitendra Kavathekar, VP, Yahoo Web Analytics, has said , “We are rolling the service out in phases for the remainder of 2008 and into next year. The first big deployment is Yahoo Small Business, whose 13,000 hosted e-commerce customers can get set up just in time for the holiday shopping season at the click of a button.”

I think the second and the third screen will play an important role in building brands and consumer loyalty going forward. You watch the first screen (TV) from a distance, look into the second screen (PC) from nearer distance (two feet away) and then you have your third screen (mobile) with you 24 x 7 and very close to you. How effectively you use these third and second screens is the way forward for any brand. "
