The last year's conference had focussed on entertainment verticals such as movies, music, games, etc. This year the focus is on the platform or access points: movie halls, television, PCs/Laptops and the mobile device. "Adoption, innovation and convergence" is the defining theme of the conference.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India is organizing a Workshop on Digital Preservation in India on 7th November 2008 at FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.

With the wide-scale adoption of the internet and the rise of the World Wide Web, the world has been overwhelmed by digital information. Individuals and institutions are producing digital data on a massive scale. Digital preservation is emerging as a trustworthy solution ensuring long-term access to the information.

The objective of this workshop is to bring together all stakeholders to a common platform to understand the activities undertaken by various bodies in the area of digital preservation and to develop a national stand to promote, educate and encourage digital preservation further.

Organized by the TiE, Hyderabad Chapter and the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED), ISB, TiE-ISB Connect aims to facilitate interaction of aspiring entrepreneurs, early-stage ventures, and growth-stage ventures with potential investors, successful entrepreneurs and mentors.

TiEcon Delhi 2008, with the theme ‘Entrepreneurship Comes of Age’, aims to bring together industry leaders and investors who are committed to build and nurture the entrepreneurial landscape in the country.
