Google introduces mobile image ads in 13 countries including India
25 April, 2008
Google has launched mobile image ads in 13 countries including US, UK and India. According to Goggle, the mobile image ads look like standard image ads for desktop web pages but they are smaller to fit on mobile screens and run on the mobile content network.
The company has already been providing text based ads on the mobile platform. With the launch of mobile image ads, publishers would now be able to choose to show text ads, image ads, or a mix of both on the mobile platform.
Google mobile image ads are keyword-targeted and are priced on a cost-per-click basis. Google says only one mobile image ad will be displayed per mobile page and it would link to a web page optimized for mobile phones.

One can’t keep on doing the same stuff over and over again across all kinds of brands. Every brand has a unique feature and this needs to be attributed through innovative marketing initiatives. Unless the people working in this medium can innovate, spends will not grow on internet. "
